About Ross
Ross Industries was established in January 1970 by Henry M. "Bud"
Ross. The former fighter pilot and aerospace engineer was given
the challenge to develop a meat tenderizer that was more effective
and efficient than anything that was on the market at that time.
Mr. Ross met that challenge and created a company that is regarded
as a pioneer in meat packaging and processing equipment. In 1972
the packaging division of Ross Industries moved into its' present
location in Midland Virginia . The processing equipment division
is located a short distance from Midland in Elkwood Virginia .
In 1983 Mr. Ross developed his first tray sealing machine for meat
products. That first machine was the precursor to a wide range of
tray sealing machines that lead to the present series of "Inpack"
Modified Atmosphere Packaging tray sealers. Ross has become a leader
in MAP equipment and continues its 35 year history of continual
improvement and innovation of the equipment it offers.
