Regional Service Manager

Our Regional Service Managers are based in our Canton, Massachusetts' office and report directly the VP of Customer Service. Each Service Manager also works closely with the Regional Sales Manager of their territory to ensure that the sales process is completed in a smooth and timely manner. The main responsibility of our service managers is the direct supervision of 7 to 8 field service engineers.

This is a hands-on supervisory role. You will take calls from customers and work directly with them to troubleshoot problems and coordinate installations, repairs, and other services. After you dispatch and schedule your field service engineers to our customers' locations, you will continue to serve as a liaison for our customers, promoting the communication between your service engineers and the customer to ensure that the job is performed to their satisfaction and a good relationship is established.

As a manager, you will be responsible for the performance of your service engineers: You will participate in their training; provide them with feedback and guidance; and ensure their safety in the work place. You will serve as their primary contact with the Company and will be responsible for ensuring that all policies are adhered to and all paperwork such as service tickets, job tickets and expense reports are completed in a timely manner.

The successful candidate must have…

  • The technical skills needed to competently install, troubleshoot, repair, and service the type of equipment that Reiser sells (requires a background with mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC's).
  • Prior experience working as a field service engineer in a position that required travel
  • Experience in supervising/managing several service engineers/technicians in the field
  • A strong customer focus with the ability to effectively communicate between our customers and our service engineers
  • Must be willing to reside in the Canton, Massachusetts area
  • Must be able to travel occasionally to customer locations
  • Experience in the food industry is a definite plus!
