Reiser and Vemag offer a variety of solutions for loaf forming applications. Vemag inline grinders and formers consistently produce precise weight loaf portions of ground beef, pork or poultry. The integrated systems include a Vemag Stuffer combined with various attachments specially designed for loaf forming applications. The Vemag Stuffer is available in various models and hopper capacities to meet any production requirement.

A typical Loaf Forming line includes a Vemag Stuffer, inline grinding and separating attachments, and a portioning/cutting device.

Vemag Stuffer
At the heart of the system lies the Vemag Stuffer. Models range from the Vemag 500 for smaller applications to the HP30E for larger applications. The Vemag features a powerful positive displacement double-screw pump which provides the highest levels of portioning accuracy. The double-screw transports product extremely gently and without smearing.

Vemag Grinding and Separating
Unlike stand-alone grinders, the Vemag Grinder is an inline attachment to the Vemag Stuffer. The Vemag Stuffer's double screws drive the inline Grinder, integrating the grinding and separating process into the forming and portioning process. The result is that the last cut occurs just before forming, providing excellent product quality with very good color, a clear structure, even particle distribution and reduced smear.

The Vemag Separation Grinder grinds, separates and portions large quantities of meat for production at a rate of up to 4 tons an hour. Separation of unwanted material provides an extra margin of safety just prior to forming. The former gives the product its final shape. This system eliminates pre-cutting the product to its final particle size, reducing labor, improving hygiene and providing superior product appearance.

Vemag Portioning
A variety of cutting and portioning devices are available, including a Guillotine Cutoff Device and the Vemag ground meat portioner MMP220.

The Vemag MMP220 automatically places the ground meat onto paper where it is conveyed to a cutting blade. The vertical cutting arrangement cuts the ground meat into individual portions. The result is a product with a uniform shape and a consistent, accurate weight.

Packaging
If you'd like to automate your loaf production even further, Reiser and Vemag can help you integrate your loaf forming equipment to your packaging line. We can automatically load formed loaves into a tray and deliver the tray to our modified atmosphere tray sealers.

Reiser also offers flexible vacuum packaging. Our systems can automatically take precisely formed loaves and automatically convey and place them into the packaging machine. Many processors are seeing the benefits of reduced labor and increased hygiene with this system.
